First balloon camera platform. This one is made of a cardboard box and aims the camera straight down. I use an Olympus Stylus 800 camera and a circuit I design to take a photo every 20 seconds.

First military surplus balloon with camera platform attached. We use 2 tether line to prevent the camera form flying away, and to prevent it from spinning.

My house and horses taken with the new camera platform. The shadows of the horses look more like horses than the horses do.

I really want to do this, exactly what you're doing. Last night I bought a bunch of helium balloons and tied them to a fishing line and a fishing pole to reel the line in. then I attached my cheap digital camera to it and got a hectic spinning video, but it worked, and I am very excited about doing this professionally.
